Jennifer and Dan actually had their engagement session after their wedding!

Which was a wonderful idea because the springtime weather couldn't have been better for an afternoon session at the University of Florida campus.

An unexpected guest showed up for the sitting too!

Congratulations Deanna & Carl! My two favorite cat enablers.

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with you and your families and I have to admit my favorite image of the year so far is from your wedding! I adore the shot of your parents and you reflected in the mirror as you wait for the limo to arrive.

This wedding had some super sweet little touches that we enjoyed. First, Carl's ring is a mobius circle, very fitting as they are both math professionals. Secondly, during their wedding ceremony they actually incorporated a Nigerian wedding custom of demonstrating the various aspects of a marriage by tasting symbolic items, like honey for sweetness, lemon for bitterness, hot pepper for err well you get the drift.

Lastly, Carl and his college fraternity brothers, on bended knee, surprised Deanna with a beautiful a cappella version of their sweetheart song. It was so cute, and what fantastic voices they had!

Lauren & Corey recently had their wedding at Golden Ocala, and even having to move inside due to rain it was amazing. We have to say, Dan, from Unforgettable Events did a stunning job on the tropical floral arrangements that were literally everywhere. Take just a peek at some of his work in the collage below.

And Lauren & Corey, you guys are some pretty cool peeps! I think Matt has a photo-crush on no-nonsense yet laid-back Lauren :-) And, Krystal didn't mind that there were a bunch of hot Marines running around there either!

At the Florida Museum of Natural History that is... and it was all to show off the new renovations, exhibits and some of the very best local wedding and event specialists! It was very cool, especially the live performance artists and magicians.



We are tickled to be the recommended photographer for this new and exciting location, and as you can see it can bring some real polish and whimsy to your event. Not only can your guests peruse the various exhibits during the cocktail hour, or while you are doing the portraits, but the large atrium is filled with natural light and a meandering path of thousands of monarch butterflies.

Add a little lighting & your decor, some fabulous tunes and food... and you are going to have one killer party at the museum!

And now, they are even offering weddings for 70 or less in their beautiful Butterfly Rainforest, where thousands of butterflies surround you and your guests during your ceremony.

This past weekend was going to be our first weekend off in the last five or six, but at the last minute I traveled to Naples to help my friend Susan Stripling when her second shooter had a family emergency. That's one of the great things about being part of the community of professional photographers...there's always someone there to step in and help you out when the unexpected happens :)

Erin & Royce were married this March in one of Florida's most beautiful cities, St. Augustine.

They picked just some of the most lovely places you could every hope for as a photographer, the Casa Monica historic hotel, and the St. Augustine Catholic Basilica. It was just gorgeous!

And as you can see, so is Erin! Not just on the outside, but she is really a beautiful person on the inside.

A wedding day gives you a glimpse into the lives, friendships, families and hearts of a lot of people. It is easy to see Erin and Royce are big-hearted and sweet souls. It is our pleasure to capture just a day... just a few pivotal moments of their journey.
