So if you visit the main website you might notice it's no long a completely dated four year old website. It's now only a slightly dated four hour old site. There will be a cool flash version coming in a few months, but in the meantime, check out all the new pictures!

Okay, so I'd never bothered to really check it before, but our blogging software supports RSS! I've enabled this feature, so those of you who use RSS can subscribe to the KJournal, and always know what's going on here from the comfort of your RSS reader.

For those of you who don't know what RSS is, it's a web feature called "Really Simple Syndication." You either use an RSS reader program, or a web browser with RSS built in, like Safari or Firefox, to subscribe to your favorite websites. Your RSS reader checks those sites for updates, and presents them to you in an easy to read format, and saves you from having to visit all your favorite sites over and over to see if they've changed.

If you're using Safari, click the blue "RSS" text in your address bar, then click "Bookmark" in the lower right-hand corner. If you're using Firefox, click the orange square with the "broadcast" icon in the address bar and bookmark this feed.

We've got an exciting new feature for the Journal! Our brilliant, charismatic, and extremely handsome IT department (i.e., me) has added a subscription option to the blog. If you'll look to your left in the menu bar, there's now a handy little text box you can use to enter your email address. Click "Subscribe," and you'll receive a validation message in your email. Check your mail, click the activation link in it, and from now on, every time we update this Journal, you'll get an email notification! How cool is that?! Very cool, I think.

Also, if it appears that text box is running over the gold menu bar area, that's just because your web browser has cached the stylesheet that describes this page. Click this link, hit your browser's Reload button, and then navigate back here and reload again. That should do it!

Right now the emails you get informing you about updates are kinda ugly, but over the next few days I'm going to modify the templates and prettify them all up. More news as events warrant!

Yours,

Matt
