and here is the 3 piece canvas gallery format we're doing.... It's gorgeous in a family room!

Okay, I can't take any credit for the first work of art.

That is all Courtney, but the rest of mine are pretty good too. :-) (Aren't the cats and dog cute!!!)

First, thank you for welcoming me into your home and lives to photograph a day with you all. You really have a home filled with love and sillyness, and it's a pleasure to see.

And I sincerely hope you can see all the personalities sparkling through in the images, as I did when taking them. They are going to make a gorgeous album! See you soon to unveil the design.

Warm Wishes,
Krystal

Did anyone notice mom slipping snowball a treat? (what a softy)

Something every kid remembers about growing up in Florida.

Practicing with dad.

Skirts are for twirling!

They look like little gold dusted pixies!

Ps. The girls had a ball with their new pink and blue pettiskirts for the shoot. As you can tell we had a little trouble getting them out of them! They are very twirl-tastic I do have to say. So coming soon I'll do a "links to love" family addition where I will tell you where you can find all sorts of goodies for your family sessions- including those wonderful pettiskirts.
A baby that is...

Andrea & Dean are expecting their first little one this summer and stopped by a while back to do a quick session in the studio. Dean got wrangled in for a few.. and they turned out to by my favorites!

Enjoy the preview, and thanks for your patience getting these images up.

Congratulations! ...and keep us posted :-)

It's that time of year again! PPA competitions are underway, and we're really excited about our prospects this year.

****IF BY SOME ODD CHANCE YOU HAPPEN TO BE A PPA OR FPP PRINT JUDGE, PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS POST!****

Also, if you're one of our competitors :P

Last night we entered the salon competition of the Professional Photographers of North Central Florida and I'd say we did pretty well.

22/06: Family Fun!

Chris, Sam and their son Bailey recently did a lifestyle family session with us, and at one of the most fun places in Gainesville- The Skate Station Funworks! They even had the whole putt-putt course open just for them... very cool.

I had no idea that Funworks was so huge! Matt and I might have to go back for some cheesy couple-skate action sometime.

Thank you all for being so easy to work with and especially to Bailey who handled the mega-shoot like a champ.

Enjoy the preview guys your full gallery will be up soon!

Cheers,
Krystal

The delightful Davis siblings had us do a portrait of them as a gift for their mom, and we just beat the rain as we made our way across the UF Campus for a fun session.

Joelle who purchased the session, as part of our donation to the HOPE project, not only is obviously beautiful on the outside but is equally so on the inside. The equine assisted therapy program is completely run by volunteers for no profit.

And it is our pleasure to donate to organizations that continue to provide creative therapeutic treatment for those with special needs

We hope your mother loves these images and thank you for supporting such a great local charity.

Warm Wishes,
Matt & Krystal

There are two things I love about my job (and really, yeah, only two...hate everything else).

1) People clearly and obviously in love, who make it so incredibly easy to communicate their emotions through images.

2) Awesome and amazing light. That whole transition from about 3 hours before sunset to sunset, when you can bend and shape it around buildings or trees to add drama to images.

So when you get two in the same photo shoot, it makes me really happy to be a photographer :) Greg and Amanda, you were this amazing at your engagement session, I can't wait to see your wedding a mere three weeks!

Cheers,

Matt

Hey Everyone,

I am doing a concept photoshoot this week that really needs that industrial, abandoned warehouse or gutted-abandoned house look. I am not having much luck, so I'm hoping my friends and clients (you silly) might have seen what I'm looking for.

Do any of you know of such a place? If so please contact me right away. 352-870-2521 or krystal@k-gallery.com

I can't wait to show everyone the cool shots I've been cooking up.

With Thanks,
Krystal

Whenever I'm around Patrick & Beth the sun seems brighter, music seems merrier and I can't wipe the smiles off my face. They are absolutely infectious with their joy.

I'm not a sappy romantic kinda gal, but these two are just a joy to know. And if you already know Patrick & Beth then this is no newsflash for you.

We hope this came through in their images so you can all have the pleasure of knowing them a little too!

Love you guys!

Mom gets a little choked up before Beth walks out to meet Patrick.

Love the look as Patrick glanced over at Beth as they walked out the ceremony!

Ladies man Christopher steals the show.

Yet another reason we love them.

What first dance doesn't need a righteous air guitar solo?

It was so cool they had an artist there all night doing caricatures of guests!

Wedding & Reception Venue: Bear Lakes Country Club, West Palm Beach (Coordinator- Scott Bester)
Cake: Publix, The sinfully delicious "Brown Derby" cake
DJ: Frank Walker at Dolphin DJ Services
Peter and Megan did a Maternity and Newborn session with us right before the birth of their little girl Abigail and well.. here it is before and after! And they are both beautiful.

My pleasure to be there for so many of the sweetest moments in your life guys, I'm really honored.

Warm Wishes,
Krystal

Ps.The barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen photo is hilarious!

Occupational hazard! for dads too.

An impromptu four generation portrait!

Peter gave me a photo of him as a baby with his father to recreate... isn't it so cute!
